• Is Swinglifestyle.com Free?
www.Swinglifestyle.com is different than most swingers sites. The site is completely
free to use for those that want a free site. They have paid members and free
members. Paid members have a few extra tools and such, but this site is functional
as a free site as well.
Free members can't see Nude pics, three reasons for this:
• Swing Life Style.com have no way to know if a free member is of age,
so
nudity
is
restricted.
• Not showing nudity to free members keeps most of the undesirables away
from
the site.
• It takes a lot of bandwidth, which costs money, to display all those
pictures.
So paying members help to pay the cost.
• Certified user, what is that?
A certified user is one that another, trusted, member of the site has vouched
for, indicating that they personally know this person and that the person is
who they say they are. Only Paid members can certify other members.
• What is an IM? How do I use it?
The IM is the Instant Messenger or private chat. When you first login, it always
defaults to "On". You can click on the "IM is On" link
(in the upper left of your screen) to turn it off and vice versa. When a
user has the IM "On", you will see a "Private Chat" link
by their profile listing. You can click on that to start a private chat session.
They will hear a telephone ringing sound and be presented with a message
to 'Accept' or 'Decline' the chat request. If they accept you should be able
to start communicating. If they decline, you should receive a message in
your chat window that they declined your request.
• I cannot get chat to work! What do I do?
The Swinglifestyle chat server may go down from time to time. Just try again
in a few minutes. If you are consistantly having trouble with chat, make sure
that
you
have the
latest version of Java installed and that your browser and operating system
are up to date. You can also try clearing out your browser cache and deleting
any browser cookies associated with SwingLifeStyle to "reset" your
browser. Tech Support can provide you with more information, if you need it.
• Can I block someone in the chatroom that's harrassing?
You can ignore any specific user(s) you wish but only if you load chat with
the "text user list" enabled. Unfortunatly, you can not save the
ignore list for future sessions.
• How do I delete sent mail?
You can not delete sent mail. Just like regular mail, once you send it, it
belongs to the receiver.
You can, however, hide that mail from your view. NOTE: If the recipient deletes
your message, the message will be removed from your mail folder as well.
• Should I respond to all messages that I receive?
It is generally considered the polite thing to do to respond to your messages,
even if it is to say, "No thanks, not interested". You need not (and
should not) reply to any rude/insulting messages or advertisements for products
or services. In these cases, our advice is to block the user and report them
to "TechSupport".
• What are Swinglifestyle.com policies on message content?
Messages (and chat) should be used to communicate with other members in meaningful,
positive ways. You should NEVER make any threats, insult other users, harass
other users, or discuss illegal activities while using the site. Swingerlifestyle
will not tolerate such behavior! Just have fun and enjoy meeting and talking
to
others
with similar interests.

• What does the "Turn Privacy On" link do?
Clicking on "Turn Privacy On" will disable the SLS logo and the pictures
on the swinglifestyle homepage. You can use this option if you need to be more
discrete
when accessing our site. You can click on "Turn Privacy Off" to display
the logo again.
• How many pictures can I have?
There is no limit on pictures, however only the first 5 pictures can be seen
on your main profile, if you have more than 5, they will all be shown on
your "more pictures" page. Pictures are ordered from G to X rated
and then private pictures are listed (only those with access will be able
to view the private pictures). You can always attach any additional pictures
to mail messages.
• Private Pictures: What are Private Pictures and how do they
work?
Private pictures are just that, Private. Your private pictures can only be
seen by users if you attach them to a mail message, or give that user permissions
to view them (you can give permission at the bottom of a users profile). In
order to view private pictures, the other user must be a paid member, this
is required since we have no way of knowing if the private picture is pornographic
or if the free member is of age. (You can remove another users access to your
private pics at the bottom of the 'Friends' page.)
• Can I send someone a picture when I message them?
Yes, you can attach one picture to a message. If you have pictures on your
profile, they will be listed below the message entry box, just select the one
you want to send and it will be sent. If it is a private picture, they will
have access to just that one picture for as long as they keep the message.
Free Swinglifestyle.com members cannot see private pictures, even if you attach
one to a message that you send them.
• What kind of pictures can I add to my Swinglifestyle.com profile?
You can upload pictures of yourself (or your partner for a couple). Pictures
must contain at least one of the profile owners in them and can contain absolutely
NO children or anything illegal. Pictures of cartoons, drawings, landscapes,
or objects are not acceptable. Pictures cannot list any web addresses or any
commercial advertising. Single profiles should only have pictures of the male
or female. No pictures of just a female in a male profile and vice versa. Please
use the best quality picture that you can. No one wants to view dark, low quality
pictures or pictures with lots of cut-outs or blocked out area.
• What are the types of picture ratings and who can view them?
Swinglifestyle rate pictures under 4 different categories:
• Type 1 (G/PG): These are non-nude pictures that can be viewed by all users.
Can be used as defaults.
• Type 2 (R): These are nude pictures or possibly pictures with adult content.
Free users can see the thumbnails of these, but not expand them. Can be used
as defaults.
• Type 3 (X): These are explicit pictures which contain sexual content or close-ups
of genitals. Only paid users can view them. They cannot be used as defaults.
• Private Pictures: These pictures are not rated and can only be seen by a
user if you give them access to the picture. Only paid users can see them (with
access), free users cannot view them, even if given access. Private pictures
cannot be used as defaults.
• I want my profile to be invisible to certain types of users.
Can I do this?
Yes, you can click on "Tools" and then select "Setup extra features" to
control who can see your profile. You can make your profile invisible to free
users (if you are paid), males, females, couples, or any combination of those
types.
• What is that Green Check Mark for?
This indicates that another paid member has certified that user as genuine
(by meeting them in person or 'chatting' via webcam).
• In a profile, what does the icon History, and the others next
to it mean.
The icon History is a link to mail history between you and that user, the other
icons indicate if that user smokes or drinks.
• City, State Country Search
When using 'Find a search code' you can only enter one item at a time, for
example the City you are looking for (miami) NOT the city and state (miami,
fl). The search code is usually the zipcode (for U.S. Cities). Only
use the first three characters for Canadian postal codes.
